Pre-Teen was founded in 1990 for the purpose of recognizing young ladies 7-12 years of age with high academic rankings, outstanding personal achievements, school activities and volunteer services participation, leadership abilities, sports accomplishments and creative talents.

Pre-Teen is a unique program because it offers SEVEN individual evaluation categories for the express purpose of providing a totally fair and thorough format:
  • Academic Achievement - 20%
  • Volunteer Services - 10%
  • School Honors and Activities - 10%
  • Development of Personal Skills and Abilities - 10%
  • General Knowledge Assessment- 15%
  • Communicative Ability - 20%
  • On Stage Acknowledgement of Accomplishment - 15%

Since its inception, over 87,000 bright and gifted young ladies have participated in the program nationwide and the program has awarded over $1,000,000 in Educational Savings Bonds, Scholarships, and Awards. In addition, the program has donated over $395,000 to its national charity, The Shriners Hospitals for Children headquartered in Tampa, Florida.

Recommendations of deserving young ladies are welcome. They may be submitted by family, teachers, school administrators, Girl Scout leaders, coaches, etc.
