Carly Jane Prenger

Pre-Teen America (Sr.)

Carly Jane is an eight grader at St. Joseph's Cathedral School in Jefferson City, Missouri where she maintains a 4.0 GPA and was the recipient of the President of the United States Gold Award for Education Excellence.  She was chosen as the "Most Outstanding Student" for the eight grade, was a first place winner in Student Council Poetry contest and was elected as Student Council Representative and a member of the Freshman Cheerleading Squad.  In addition, she is a member of the St. Josephs girls basketball and softball teams.

Carly Jane is a very accomplished dancer and has performed in "The Nutcracker" staged by Ballet Dallas and Oklahoma Ballet.  In addition she was invited to participate in classes with the Minnesota Ballet Company.

She is a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church were, during lent, she participated in a 30 hour famine and collected money from family and friends with proceeds going to World Vision Ministries, a non-profit Christian relief organization.  She is also a church mass server and greeter.  Carly Jane also received the Girl Scout Community Service Award for her work with the Leukemia Society of America and the "Meals on Wheels" programs.

Andrea Schronce

Pre-Teen America (Jr.)

Andrea is a fifth grader at West Marion Elementary School in Garner, North Carolina where she maintains a 4.0 GPA, is a member of the gifted and talented arts and drama program, as well as, the Academic and Intellectual Programs.  She is the founder and president of the "Bookworm Club" which is an organization that encourages reading and discussion of varied book topics.  In addition, Andrea is in the Accelerated Reader Program and was a first place recipient of her states Young Writers and Illustrators contest.

Andrea is a member of the YMCA Swim Team where she qualified for the Newberry USS Swim Team and Jr. Lifeguard status in 1998.  She is also a member of the West Marion Soccer team.

She attends the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she is member of Aware International, Girls in Action, Team kids and the Children's Choir.  In addition, Andrea performs volunteer work for the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, National Day of Prayer, local nursing homes and local chamber of commerce.

In her "spare" time, Andrea enjoys gardening and collecting "Little Mermaid" memorabilia.
