The Pre-Teen California Scholarship and Recognition Program
was held recently at the Holiday Inn Select in Bakersfield, CA. Seventy-five
(75) of California’s best and brightest top female students, ages 7 to 12
years of age, competed for over $5,000.00 in educational bonds, prizes and
awards. They were also vying for the opportunity to represent the State of
California at the 2005 Pre-Teen America National Competition, to be held
July 2-7, 2005 at the Holiday Inn Select Hotel in Baton Rouge, LA. There
they will be competing for over $25,000.00 in educational bonds, prizes and
awards.The participants competed in seven evaluation categories. 1) Academic Achievement, 2) Volunteer Service to Church and Community, 3) School Honors and Activities, 4) Development of Personal Skills and Abilities, 5) General Knowledge, 6) Communicative Ability and 7) “On-Stage” Acknowledgment of Accomplishments.

2nd Runner-Ups (Tied): Lindsay Jordan - 10 years old from Palmdale, CA and
Brittany Fitzgerald - 12 years old from Orange Cove, CA
3rd Runner-Ups (Tied): Kaycee Moser - 12 years old from Corona, CA and
Camille Loria - 11 years old from Palmdale, CA and
Juliann Machshefes - 12 years old from W. Sacramento, CA
4th Runner-Ups (Tied): Marina Chagoya - 12 years old from Coalinga, CA and
Hannah Livinal - 10 years old from Merced, CA and
Hannah Muldavin - 11 years old from Elk Grove, CA and
Hannah Foster - 12 years old from Potter Valley, CA.
