The Pre-Teen America Scholarship & Recognition Program was held July 2-6 at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge. America’s Best and Brightest top female Honor Roll students, ages 8 to 13 years old, competed for over $25,000 in educational bonds, prizes and awards.
The participants competed in seven evaluation categories. (1) Academic Achievement, (2) Volunteer Service to Community, (3) School Honors and Activities, (4) Development of Personal Skills and Abilities, (5) General Knowledgeability, (6) Communicative Ability, (7) On-Stage Acknowledgement of Accomplishments.
The following are the Junior Division titleholder and runners-up:
2010 Pre-Teen America (Jr. Division) Adeline Martin – 10 year old from Chauvin, LA 1st Runner-up Lindsay Fincher – 9 year old from Wedowee, AL 2nd Runner-up Heather Whitlow - 10 year old from Glasgow, KY 3rd Runner-up Rachel May - 10 year old from Cary, NC 4th Runner-up Callie Stauffer - 9 year old from North Charleston, SC
The following are the Senior Division titleholder and runners-up:
2010 Pre-Teen America (Sr. Division) Lindsey Warwick – 12 year old from Mathews, AL
